DemDx partnership

Find our about how Nuumad works with DemDx

Why we partnered

Although Nuumad focuses on PGD-based services and DemDx supports broader clinical pathways, we share the same philosophy: technology should support and speed up clinicians - not replace judgement or increase risk.

In today’s market, many tools rely heavily on AI outputs that still require clinicians to sense check and carry full responsibility for every decision. Our approach is different. Both DemDX pathways and Nuumad PGDs are built around structured clinical frameworks and governance, helping shoulder much of the decision-making structure while keeping clinicians firmly in control.

We both believe in:

  • strong governance and compliance

  • thoughtful use of technology

  • user experiences that actually reduce workload

When we first met around 18 months ago (thanks to a shared customer!), it quickly became clear our products worked better together than apart and this integration is the result.

We’ve designed the new Independent Prescribing offering to feel familiar to existing Nuumad users, while giving prescribers more flexibility depending on how structured a consultation needs to be.

Pharmacists can run consultations directly within Nuumad as they normally would, recording clinical notes, decisions and outcomes in a fast, intuitive workflow. For consultations that benefit from additional clinical structure or reasoning support, users can seamlessly move into DemDx’s clinical pathways during the consultation and then return to Nuumad with all documentation automatically populated into the patient record.

The result is a single, complete consultation journey, combining structured clinical reasoning with Nuumad’s streamlined documentation and prescription workflow, without duplicate admin or switching between disconnected systems.

In practice, this means pharmacists can:

  • Choose between a standalone Nuumad consultation or a DemDx-supported pathway

  • Move seamlessly between Nuumad and DemDx during a consultation

  • Automatically bring gold standard structured clinical documentation back into Nuumad

  • Store a complete clinical record in one place

  • Generate private prescriptions at the end of consultations (when medically required)

Prescriptions can currently be printed for wet signatures, with advanced electronic signatures planned later this year.

The two Nuumad IP modules are available together for: £500 RRP

Partner discounts are available:

FAQs

  • DemDx is a clinician-built clinical reasoning platform supporting pharmacists, built as a Class 1 medical device and kept up to date with national clinical guidelines. Used across NHS services in the UK, it provides step-by-step pathways covering 500+ conditions to help you assess patients, identify red flags, and make confident clinical decisions, while also structuring consultations and documentation to save time. Acting as a clinical co-pilot, DemDx helps pharmacists work safely and consistently, while Nuumad manages consultation records and prescriptions.

If you'd like to find out more or see DemDx in action, you can:

  • The price of DemDx is not included in our package price - you'll need to purchase a DemDx package directly with DemDx.

You can build and purchase a DemDx plan here - you can get 10% off DemDx as a Nuumad customer - please get in touch with our team if you’d like the discount code.

If you'd like to find out more or see DemDx in action, you can:

  • Setup is simple - you will need to purchase both a Nuumad account and a DemDx account.

Once you do, Nuumad will seemlessly integrate between the two systems as you are using your DemDx consultation module.

More information about the DemDx setup can be found here.

  • The two modules are available only as a package as we believe this will provide the safest clinical recording options.

The 2 modules are £500 per year or £75 per month (+VAT). You can purchase them within your subscriptions page on your business dashboard.

  • These modules are not part of the Full House Pack, as they are not PGD-based services.

However we retain our promise that no new PGD-based products will continue to be added to the Full House Pack at no extra fee.

  • We’re intentionally cautious about the use of AI.

Both Nuumad and DemDx use AI to support operational tasks, but not to make clinical decisions.

Healthcare still requires human oversight, and our goal is to reduce cognitive load, not introduce hidden clinical risk for healthcare professionals.

  • Yes, records for each consultation are automatically shared with GP surgeries.

  • Yes, both modules enable you to create prescriptions and store them on Nuumad. The prescriptions require a wet signature and therefore have to be printed.

  • No, you can’t use the IP modules for vaccinations. For vaccinations we recommend using our PGD-based services.
